“Black Kite”

“1/200th of a Second in Time”
Bumble bee, as if stopped by a camera in mid-flight and wing flap.  Adapted from photographs.
Exhibited in “Time” theme collection Lane Cove Gallery, Dec 2017 – Jan 2018

“Cheeky Lorikeet”
There are Grevillea shrubs in our Sydney backyard and our neighbour’s. Rainbow Lorikeets feed here constantly, literally 2 meters from our back door.  This provides an excellent opportunity to photograph and study these chatty, cheeky and beautifully-coloured birds.
Exhibited in Lane Cove Gallery, Dec 2015 – Jan 2016
By Rob Anderson (Acrylic on canvas, 35 x 45 cm, 2014)
“Sentient Gorilla”
This drawing was inspired by a photograph I took of a pensive Silverback Gorilla (Taronga Zoo). At that time it was being challenged by a younger male. The portrait was meticulously created over many hours. I always find that such portraits seem to come to life when the character’s eyes are real enough to look back into your own.
Exhibited in Lane Cove Gallery, Dec 2015 – Jan 2016

By Rob Anderson (Pencil drawing on paper, 29 x 37 cm framed)

“About Bloomin’ Time”
Waratah flower, New South Wales’ emblem, which only flowers in our garden intermittently.
Exhibited in “Time” theme collection, Lane Cove Gallery Dec 2017 – Jan 2018
By Rob Anderson (Acrylic on canvas, 35 x 45 cm, 2017)
“Seagull”
A quick charcoal sketch of a seagull adapted from one of my photographs.
By Rob Anderson (Charcoal on paper 40 x 30 cm,  May 2018)
