Humpback Whale – tail slapping vigorously close to the coast near Shellharbour, New South Wales. Its calf was also tail slapping.

Grey Seals – mum and pup in a narrow cove on the Pembrokeshire coast, south Wales, during the Autumn period when the seals come back from the Atlantic Ocean to give birth.

Flying Fox (“Fruit Bat”) – spotted solo in Lane Cove National Park, Sydney.

Australian Fur Seal – For 45mins this seal rolled around playfully in gentle waves on the edge of the reef, progressively displaying its fins and flippers. Photo taken at Long Reef, Dee Why, Sydney.

Australian Fur Seal – relaxing in the sunshine and well camouflaged against the rocky background. Photos taken from a boat in a swell…requiring a fast shutter speed and excellent balance! Taken off the coast from Shellharbour, south of Wollongong, NSW.

Dolphin Pod – this pod of dolphins were hunting up and down the bay just 50-80m off Newcastle Beach in Newcastle, New South Wales.

Dolphin Pod – this pod of dolphins were hunting up and down the bay just 50-80m off Newcastle Beach in Newcastle, New South Wales. Occasionally they would surf a wave. I cycled up and down a hill a number of times to try to capture these images!!

Swamp Wallaby – I came across this wallaby munching on some fresh grass by the side of a walking track through Lane Cove National Park, Sydney one one of my regular visits.
